is a Danville Mini 6W Amplifier good for electronic drums?

November 24, 2009 - 10:14 am 1 Comment

i’m getting an electronic drum kit and i was wondering if a 6 watt amp would be good because its cheap

depends on what you need it for. 6 watts is barely anything. but if you dont have much space and are not going to be playing with anyone else, it might work out. little guitar amps are usually around 50 watts. so 6 isnt going to get very loud at all…

actually i just wanna to know the full form of CE which is written on electronics goods?

I read elsewhere that it means Conformity European (in French ). This is supposed to mean it conforms to a common list for Europen standards for Electronics.

Please Please help me decide. I would like to know whether ECE is a good field to scope in? Also please tell me if this field is in demand in India and whether it is a difficult field? Please let me know if it is possible to get a job in this field in India?

I’m electronic engineer. I can tell you EE is not an easy field to study. You should have a strong mathematics base, because most of courses are about mathematics. You should be creative, because the electronic elements are few, but how you put them in order is something that could be new. And about the Micro Controller, almost every thing in this world that needs to be controlled , uses one kind of Micro. The programing of micro is not as important as connecting it to other thing, and that’s why, as common, computer engineers are not good at this part.

Do you know about the NAFTA Superhighway?

November 16, 2009 - 8:29 am 5 Comments

When completed, the highway will run from Mexico City to Toronto, slicing through the heartland like a dagger sunk into a heifer at the loins and pulled clean to the throat. It will be four football fields wide, an expansive gully of concrete, noise and exhaust, swelled with cars, trucks, trains and pipelines carrying water, wires and God knows what else. Through towns large and small it will run, plowing under family farms, subdevelopments, acres of wilderness. Equipped with high-tech electronic customs monitors, freight from China, offloaded into nonunionized Mexican ports, will travel north, crossing the border with nary a speed bump, bound for Kansas City, where the cheap goods manufactured in booming Far East factories will embark on the final leg of their journey into the nation’s Wal-Marts.

I am aware that THIS particular article was written to show that these are "rumours" going around….. HOWEVER…. this matter is NOT a rumour, and our NAFTA Highway is being built right now, as real as day! Ask people in Texas…. this is the real deal…. so do your own research, I merely used this article, because the opening paragraph caught my attention… you can respearch many other "truthful" articles about this matter on your own time.

Good research you did here! Property is being taken away here in TX for this Super High Way. It will kill out all the small towns, because they will not put ramps in for anyone to get to them. It will cost plenty.
If you need to get to a big city and no ramp, you will have to drive many miles to get there. Small towns cannot pay and put in a ramp, I hear the ramps cost a lot and most towns cannot afford to do this.It will cost to drive on this HWY. And not one cent go’s into our country. The land was sold to another country and that is who will be getting the money and will regulate how much it will cost to drive on it.
It looks like to me like a huge wall keeping America split. But that is how I feel. Now I see the jobs Obama is telling us about when he said, he will have jobs for people. To work on the HWY. What a mess!

Electronic components supplier in birmingham or daventry areas?

November 16, 2009 - 8:29 am 2 Comments

I need to get some resistors, i.c’s and a bunch of other stuff. Maplins is no good as they don’t have an LM1815 which is the main one I need. I need a shop near B70 in brum or nn11 in daventry as I work/live around these areas.

Search for the term "resistors" from this B2B website i.e. http://www.hellotrade.com you will find lot of suppliers across UK including Birmingham. You can contact or call them free.

took? Is there a such device out there I can get a sporting goods store? any suggestion/recommendation would be greatly appreciated.

I’m looking to spend no more than 30 bucks though!

Hello,

The best products out there are the GarminForerunner series. They start around $100 and go up from there. They’re well worth it (check out the product reviews below). I’d hold off and save up for one. Good luck!

In Taiwan, where can I find Variety Electronic Parts and Stores?

November 16, 2009 - 8:28 am 1 Comment

I am NOT interested in big ticket or bulky consumer goods like TV, DVD Recorder, high-end HiFi etc, but I’m looking something unsual and uncommon like Two-Way Radio, transmitter, electronic thermometer, battery chargers, LED torches, computer parts, and electronic components etc. Some second hand goods would be nice too.

If you know a district called Sham Shui Po in Hong Kong, you know exactly that I mean!

Thanks in advance!

There are many electronics stores and appliance stores in Taiwan. However, they are generally referred to by their Chinese names.

Hence, if you are in Taiwan, you can look around for the items you want, and you can also ask your local Taiwanese friends where to find various electronic things.

Sometimes, you can even find interesting items in the night markets.

Is avionics electronics a good field to go into?

November 16, 2009 - 8:28 am 8 Comments

mig 31 could you show me a web site that would give me more information?

Avionics would be a great field to venture into if you have the aptitude, being both lucrative and challenging. Its always the cutting edge in technology and many of the niceties of life today are spinoffs from pioneering Avionics research. Citing an example, about 80% of the cost of an F-15 aircraft is on its Avionics. As for choosing it as a career, you can go for a maintenance role with Airlines or design/development/testing for companies like Honeywell. I’d suggest a designing career as the consumer flying is booming and the need for providing better, more efficient and safer air travel is opening up a lot of career options.
