Ministry of Sound (MoS) is a nightclub in Elephant and Castle, Southwark, South London, officially opened in 1992 after weeks of ’secret’ club nights. MoS initially set itself apart from other London nightclubs of the time with its location well away from London clubland, a non-alcoholic bar and a highly-acclaimed sound system; all features designed to attract an enthusiastic crowd of music lovers. DJs mix live sets on Friday and Saturday each week. The MoS contains two dance floors as well as a Sony PlayStation room and Absolut chill bar.
Ministry of Sound was founded by James Palumbo, Humphrey Waterhouse and DJ Justin Berkmann. It is still largely owned and controlled by Jamie Palumbo, son of property developer Peter, Lord Palumbo. Since the club’s opening, the MoS brand has been extended to a number of other areas. Profits from the brand put Palumbo on the Sunday Times Rich List 2004, with an estimated worth of £136m. The club opened in the Autumn of 1991.
The club’s name and original logo are in the style of executive branches of UK government (such as the Ministry of Defence). The original logo was designed by Marc Woodhouse and based on the portcullis and crown, the symbols of Westminster government.
The current logo is a redesign done as a collaboration from AMP, London who designed the general logo and Vincent Connare at Dalton Maag, London who designed the lettering and finalized the artwork for MOS logo completed in 2002.Ministry of Sound is also a record label that produces many compilations each year, featuring many artists. These compilations are compiled from many different genres of music, but primarily the dance, house, and trance genres. In January 2006, the company purchased record label Hed Kandi from The Guardian Media Group and plans to continue maintaining the brand. Ministry of Sound (Australia) is an affiliated record label based out of Cremorne, NSW Australia. Its music was released through EMI (Australia) until January 2008, when it changed to Universal Music Australia and has been operating since 2000. Launched in November 2006, Ministry of Sound TV (MoSTV) is an IPTV content offering. The channel is dedicated to dance music and lifestyle programming, featuring music videos, mini-documentaries, interviews with DJs and exclusive event coverage. MoSTV has an in-house production team, but also acts as an aggregator of content. MoSTV can be accessed via the ministryofsound.com website, as well as other sites. Ministry of Sound TV has signed a syndication deal with IPTV Platform Joost providing two on-demand branded channels.[4]. Ministry of Sound TV also recently signed a similar syndication agreement with Azureus “Vuze”, and Babelgum. Users can also subscribe to the Ministry of Sound TV podcast via iTunes. Ministry of Sound TV will be airing on MTV Dance (UK) throughout the summer 2007, with a weekly slot containing features such as “Clubbers Guide to Ibiza”, DJ Diaries and Club/Festival Coverage Ministry of Sound Radio operated on DAB in London and Central Scotland on the Switch Digital multiplex, but closed in December 2002. It also ran a one-month RSL during October 2001 on 87.7 FM covering South London. A radio stream continues via the website. MoS radios DJs include Lottie, Alistair Whitehead and Rob Roar, Mutiny, Hed Kandi residents David Dunne and Andy Norman, Matt Jam Lamont, Ross Allen, Jazzy M, Bill Brewster, Jon Gurd, Andy Farley, Darren Tate, Matt Darey, Above and Beyond, Adam White, BK, Guy Ornadel, J00F, and Graham Gold. From March 2007 the station expanded further launching two on-demand channels offering non-stop chill out and underground sessions. The current team syndicates radio shows around the globe as well as running the online stream and on demand options. Headed by Dave Vega the station has Steve O’Connor, Dave Slade and Bruno Lawton as its main producers. Former Head of Radio, Chris Bailey is now working in Rumbelow’s in Croydon. The name has also been licensed for use on electronic goods sold by Alba, including MP3 players, home audio systems, DVD players, in-car entertainment systems and an extremely limited edition of a 3Gmobile phone.

Info required about using foam spray for packing electronic goods.?

August 15, 2009 - 4:31 pm 2 Comments

I just want to use foam spray one time- could anyone suggest particular brand name.I want to protect electronic items while shipping.I don’t want to spend huge amount on packaging stuff..so I’m looking for small containers.I saw couple of them on internet ..they are huge and expensive..Also i want to know if its safe to use in home..(I mean around kids and pets)

Go to Ace hardware, there is a foam you can buy to stop up cracks for drafty areas, forgot what it is called.

Now, squirt some of the foam in the packing box (only a little it expands) the take your item, place it in a plastic bag, then put in box and squirt some more foam.

Very important to put in plastic bag!!

Honda Civic Si Vs Enzo Ferrari 2008 Speeding Redhill On Highway 285 km/h

August 14, 2009 - 8:12 pm 25 Comments

On a super highway. the speed limit is only 100 km – 55 mph if u guy didn’t know. Ferrari S.p.A. is an Italian sports car manufacturer based in Maranello, Italy. Founded by Enzo Ferrari in 1929 as Scuderia Ferrari, the company sponsored drivers and manufactured race cars before moving into production of street-legal vehicles in 1947 as Ferrari S.p.A.. Throughout its history, the company has been noted for its continued participation in racing, especially in Formula One, where it has enjoyed great success.

After years of financial struggles, Enzo Ferrari sold the company’s sports car division to the Fiat group in 1969 to ensure continued financial backing. Enzo Ferrari retained control of the racing division until his death in 1988 at the age of 90. Earlier that year he had overseen the launch of the Ferrari F40; the last new Ferrari to be launched before his death, and arguably one of the most famous supercars ever made.

Ferrari also has an internally managed merchandising line that licenses many products bearing the Ferrari brand, including eyewear, pens, pencils, electronic goods, perfume, clothing, high-tech bicycles, cell phones, and even laptop computers. #25 – Top Rated (Today) – Autos & Vehicles – Canada

if i was to buy electronic goods from eastern europe what regulations would i need to consider?

August 11, 2009 - 4:21 pm 1 Comment

I understand there is "the free movement of goods" but how are import taxes calculated? what are the concequences of non-declaration etc.

if you can point me in the right direction, id appreciate it,

thankyou for your time

1st off.

You want to buy Eastern European items for use where?
If to the U.S. then there will be some duty tariffs to be paid based on the value of the item.

More importantly will be compatablilty with US standards such as the biggie – electricty – Most of Europe is on 210v 50Hz and the US is on 120v 60Hz.
Video in Europe is PAL/SECAM and US is NTSC.
Radio is the same as far as I know.

Has the mass producton of cheap electronic goods eroding family life?

August 9, 2009 - 4:34 pm 4 Comments

imdoing a project on a contriversal question and i would appriciate it if you could leave youre opinions on the subject and provide helpful infomation. thankyou

You cannot wholly attribute the "erosion" of family life, if there is ever such a thing in the present time, to the mass production of cheap electronic goods.

A dilapidation of social values shares a bulk of the blame. Technology is good, and society gives it meaning and uses it. Therefore society is where the problem lies, not just in technology nor in its availability.
