buying electronic goods abroad, e.g. lanzorote, majorca etc?

Ive never bought cheap electrical goods abroad, but when I almost did once. general people were telling me not too as it often breaks when you get home or something. does anyone know what to look out for if you do buy electronic goods? thanks simon

In the Canaries you’ll get lot of shops selling items in white boxes with ‘Rage’ on the side.
Basically these are refurbished items which have limited warranty.
They usually show you the correct item, for example a Canon camera, then when you buy it get you one with a white box. They look the same but believe me, they’re not.

If you want proper items with legitimate warrantly only Visanta will sell items with a full eurpoean guarantee. They may be a little more expensive but you can be assured it won’t break before you get home.
