It will be worth the wait because it is very intuitive and has many other options that a normal reader does not. Like the ability to be it's own replacement for a laptop. If you only want to read classics for example, those can be found easily through sites like project gutenberg and if that's the case I'd recommend the Sony reader. Its the best of the devices from my understanding, but it has a horribly priced store attached. If you want to read current new releases easily I'd recommend the Kindle. Its a good, solidly working device with excellent customer service and it has the cheapest and biggest store. If you want to try a new device and maybe give your information to the people creating the next generation and help them work through the kinks, then go with the nook. But really the nook doesn't have any strengths that the kindle doesn't beat it out on.
