Should The U.S. be doing so much trade with China ? Your Opinion Please.?
Why does the U.S. continue to do so much trade with China? Have you ever used some of those Made in China Dollar Store Automobile fuses?,They don’t blow out they catch on fire. Almost all of China’s electronics that we buy in the U.S. are not UL (Underwriters Labortory) approved, China was caught last year affixing hundreds of thousands fake UL stickers to electronic products. Did you know that one cannot release an electronic product in the U.S.made in U.S. without UL approval, So why is it ok to import this stuff ? Let’s face it China uses legal slave labor to produce these goods. They are after all a Communist Nation & we do so much business with them. In Light of the pet food posioning & lead in childrens toys etc, Do you think they are secretly try to kill us off or just practicing to ?
Preach-in to the quire
my work lost several accounts because of outsourcing,& will close soon.
The Chineese have NO quality control,& the Gov. controls every aspect of production, down to allotment of energy. If a factory uses up their allotment, plant shuts down until next month. They can’t produce their own.(IE:generator, ect)
& how about the use of a slave labour force?

I don’t agree with it, but welcome to the global economy. As long as people by them and companies can make huge profits, they will continue to outsource.
Ever call your credit card company? Or Dell?
Its all in India. Cheap labor. No unions. No labor laws.Large pool of employees willing to work for what we would consider garbage but the see as a fortune.\
You don’t see the companies passing the savings onto us though!
The biggest offender? Wal Mart. The Waltons are billionaires by expoiting their workers, importing items from countries that use virtual slave labor all so we can save a buck or two.

That’s Capitalism… (I’m referring to allowing trade with China).
It’s perhaps not ideal to trade so much with China, considering it’s increasing our dependence on them, and they certainly aren’t a manufacturer of quality goods anywhere near quality expected in America. But it’s dirt cheap. And banning trade with them is Mercantilist and immoral under the Capitalistic Free Market system.

We’re doing way too much trade with them.
China wants to be in a position where without them, the world will crumble. That’s a pretty powerful position if you ask me. I don’t want to let it happen either. They use forced/child labor, employ poor working conditions, and produce low quality/dangerous products at prices that put AMERICAN businesses out of business.
Don’t buy from Wal-Mart, K-Mart or any of those other huge megastores that sell everything.

The U.S. is playing with fire by trading with china. There are so many ways they can take to bring their standard of living higher and this is their first step. Trading with the U.S. and the world. Sure enough there will be growing pains. Hopefully the safe guards in place in the U.S. will continue to detect and prevent things from getting worse. Everyone’s patience is wearing thin. This my opinion.

I think it is finally dawning on people that you get what you pay for. There was at one time a city in China named Usa, where a lot of companies had factories there so they could put made in USA, legally on their labels. NATO put an end to that when America protested and changed the labels to the country of origin. It really would not cost that much more to start making things again in the USA, except for the greed of CEO’s who are making hundreds of times what their workers are making.

That was Usa in Japan and that happened in the 50’s. I know, I got some toys when I was a kid from Usa Japan and it made my dad hopping mad when he figured it out.
Curious, did you hear that from some talking head on the radio? Wouldn’t surprise me. Most people take what they say verbatim and if you’d bother checking their sources (that they will site) and other facts, you’ll find they have a nasty habit of twisting it into a pretzel for whatever current bashing the public needs.
Check it out — you’ll soon figure it out.

As far as the OPs question, yes, the USA really has no choice. Globalization is the reason.
What the USA needs to do is some serious planning for its future. The problem with the USA is we don’t plan. The other problem we have, China plans
China is beating the crap out of us and all we do is worry about the color of Bin Ladens beard.
No wonder this country is so screwed up.
Peace
