How to find out if a good is original or counterfeit?

How shall I know if a good is original or not?
yesterday I bought a LA TANNEUR french leather handbag from an official distributor but when I came home I saw (MADE IN INDIA) tag inside! Does that mean it is counterfeit? and how to find out?
Also how shall I check the electronic devices like mobiles, handwatches, and laptops?
