need help on hongkong. also how far causewaybay to ocean park?

June 15, 2010 - 9:47 pm 2 Comments

hi all
need help on how far causeway bay to ocean park. if by taxi how much? also are all taxi prices must be agreed before trip in HK? thank you.
and what is the most happening shopping centre/maket at the moment, for clothes shopping and electronic goods?

Hong Kong taxi fares are set by the meter, not negotiation. You pay what the meter says or your driver calls the police and you get arrested.

Causeway Bay and Ocean Park are relatively close to each other (4 miles?), but traffic can be very congested and travel slow. Your taxi fare will be around HK$100, depending on how slow the traffic is.

There are numerous shopping centers and "night markets" across Hong Kong. Wan Chai and Mong Kok are great for browsing little stores and open air stalls. Upscale shopping is available at malls like Pacific Place

I want a few things… Dr.dre headphones, a G-shock, an ipod touch (luccade.com good?) maybe a little jewelry. Any good websites? I’m tired of ebay.

Try out this sitehttp://www.salecamel.com. They take all the best deals from around the net and allows you to search and filter the results. I think this is what you are looking for. Good luck!

Hi – check out the Enjoy England website, for great places to shop in London.

Shopping is number one on our list of ‘London’s top ten things to do’. The city is rated as the shopping capital of the world and it’s an ideal time to visit as you can find some real bargains just before Christmas:

Electronic components supplier in birmingham or daventry areas?

November 16, 2009 - 8:29 am 2 Comments

I need to get some resistors, i.c’s and a bunch of other stuff. Maplins is no good as they don’t have an LM1815 which is the main one I need. I need a shop near B70 in brum or nn11 in daventry as I work/live around these areas.

Search for the term "resistors" from this B2B website i.e. http://www.hellotrade.com you will find lot of suppliers across UK including Birmingham. You can contact or call them free.

we will have a 7days trip.can you suggests whats the best thing to do when in honkong and macau?by the way,any malls you can suggest for a cheaper price and good qaulity electronic shops?and also where can we go if we wana buy bags/clothings and children’s outfits that are also affordable too.
What is the weather in hongkong now?
How much is the ferry going to macau and what time is the trip, from going and coming back?
Lastly, what is the best ride/route going to hk disneyland and ocean park.
Sorry about my queries is quite long…Thanks!

Both are great cities. In Hong Kong, tons of shopping!! If you want cheap, I suggest the Night Market, Ladies Market and Jade Market on the Kowloon side. You can find very high end stores in HK, but also some very cheap but cool shops too. For general electronics, you will find tons of shops for MP3/MP4 and phones. You can also find lots of computer stores as well. The one I like is call Star Computer City, across from the Star Ferry Port in Kowloon, but you can also find many shops on HK Island around Wan Chai.

In Macau, it’s a gamblers paradise with lots of casinos now. I suggest you get into town and do a walking tour as there is some great archtecture here.

It is hot and getting hotter, think of being inside a greenhouse for tropical plants in the summer! Your gonna sweat a lot.

Ferries run regulary from HK to Macau. You can take subway directly to Disneyland.

Also: If you want really cheap shopping, I suggest getting a visa for mainland China and popping over to Zhuhai which is just across the border from Macau or taking the 30 min train to Shenzhen from HK.
